NUTRIPLUS® Sat – Satellite Harvesting Forecast for Silage
High-quality silage through satellite precision
The NUTRIPLUS® Sat service involves associating satellite imaging technology and MAS Seeds® agronomic knowledge to optimise harvesting and silage quality.
Monitoring harvesting data to optimise the quality of silage
Harvesting silage maize at the right time is the key objective for dairy farmers. This ensures they benefit from the best feed value and ensures good conservation in the silo. The NUTRIPLUS® Sat service uses real-time satellite imaging technology, as well as MAS Seeds® agronomic knowledge, to monitor and anticipate dry matter evolution in your silage maize fields. The service provides an insight into the heterogeneity of the dry matter in the field, and a forecast of the optimum harvesting period (32 to 35% dry matter), to help you optimise harvesting and silage quality. This service is ideal for dairy farmers who want to improve forage autonomy and increase their feed efficiency.
Two out of three farmers do not harvest at the
right stage.
The advantages of satellite technology
Advanced satellite technology tackles challenges through:
- real-time imagery
- high frequencies (a new updated image is available every 5 to 15 days)
- high-resolution imagery
