The NUTRIPLUS® Sat service involves associating satellite imaging technology and MAS Seeds® agronomic knowledge to optimise harvesting and silage quality.

Monitoring harvesting data to optimise the quality of silage

Harvesting silage maize at the right time is the key objective for dairy farmers. This ensures they benefit from the best feed value and ensures good conservation in the silo. The NUTRIPLUS® Sat service uses real-time satellite imaging technology, as well as MAS Seeds® agronomic knowledge, to monitor and anticipate dry matter evolution in your silage maize fields. The service provides an insight into the heterogeneity of the dry matter in the field, and a forecast of the optimum harvesting period (32 to 35% dry matter), to help you optimise harvesting and silage quality. This service is ideal for dairy farmers who want to improve forage autonomy and increase their feed efficiency.

How does it work ?

Personalised analysis

An algorithm calculates the dry matter content of your field on the current date using real-time satellite images.

It also gives a forecast of the dry matter evolution over 2 to 15 days, with field heterogeneity and the distribution of dry matter.

Satellites provide new images every five to ten days. With every new image, a new field report is generated and is automatically sent to your email address.

Personalised reports with silage-harvesting advice

The NUTRIPLUS® Sat service provides regular customer reports starting from 25% dry matter content in the field until harvesting, based on the following characteristics:

Check the dry matter content map of your field for the current date to stay up to date.

Use dry matter forecast maps to anticipate the maturity of the silage maize.

Prepare your harvest based on the recommendation of the best harvest period.

Personalised recommendations for your field and harvest allow you to optimise the quality of your harvest.
